I like it better than the Tal-Dub III, not really getting that dark tape delay echoey sound in it though. Really liking the Tal-Dub II more closer to the sounds I like.

I tried the PSP 85 demo at one point but I never liked interacting with it's interface. which I loved to death when I owned one back in the late 80s. I think someone mentioned PSP 85 which reminds me of the old hardware unit 'Effectron' by DeltaLab: It's not that I think tal-dub beats everything out there, it's just that for what I usually want, I can get it with the default setting and a couple quick knob turns. I can obviously do some of that by adding EQ/filters etc after it but less trouble to just throw tal-dub II on which for what I usually use delays for sounds musical for lack of a better term. Mostly because I want my repeats degrading a little in order to get them out of the way of whatever the source is. I have Ubermod too, nice delay and ReaDelay is great but usually serves a more utilitarian purpose for me. Fabfilter stuff I love but the delay for some reason doesn't get used as much as my tal-dub stuff likely for the same reason as OhmBoyz.Īside from Timeless2, other over the top delay plugins to consider would be U-he MFM2 and Valhalla UberMod. I have both of those and OhmBoyz ended up close to the bottom of the usage list but I'm sure that's a style of music/taste YMMV thing since it seems to excel at making a rhythm out of existing content more than a classic delay. Just my take on it but am a huge fan of FabFilter in general. It doesn't seem do the old analog style delay with infinite feedback as good as I'd like - has the same problem (for me) OhmBoyz delay does.
